Very interesting discussion as we approach crunch time- There are definitely a lot of horses in this race- will see what the voters think- the LGBT vote will definitely be divided making it difficult for Dufty. The progressives are looking for " a real candidate" but that can ultimately leave the door open for a more conservative candiadte to win. When I ran for office I refused to say that I would not run if not selected because I believed in the energy I could bring. The appointed mayor is going to have a hard time convincing me and others that going against the word given is justifiable!
Blog about Progressive ideas and commentary. Discussion on freedom and equality as basic tenets of our Democracy. What makes us different is what makes us diverse and in diversity there is both greatness and strength.

About Me
- George Perezvelez
- I want to continue to add my voice and have a say in future development plans, affecting positive change on all issues, having a voice in local politics and representing communities by having a seat at the table and making a difference in the decision making process. I believe it is not only the right, but also the responsibility of interested and capable citizens to become engaged in local government policy by advising elected officials on important community-related issues. Serving on a Board or Commission is an excellent way to make a personal and tangible contribution.
