Bay Area's Biggest Wealth Gap Is in Berkeley - The Bay Citizen:

It is funny to see that the two City leaders qouted talk about inequality in wealth distribution in services while the Rent Board, an institution they strongly support, continued to increase their payroll by salaried positions last year and when the head of said agency makes almost double the 77k median. They also ignore the article's statement that it is the wealthiest Hilltop people defraying most of the social services through property taxes. It is in that regard Typical Berkeley social inequality talk in reverse. Lets discuss the real issues of low income families. Opportunities and not an expectation that City government can remedy all maladies at the expense of some.

About Me

My photo
I want to continue to add my voice and have a say in future development plans, affecting positive change on all issues, having a voice in local politics and representing communities by having a seat at the table and making a difference in the decision making process. I believe it is not only the right, but also the responsibility of interested and capable citizens to become engaged in local government policy by advising elected officials on important community-related issues. Serving on a Board or Commission is an excellent way to make a personal and tangible contribution.
